Hi! I'm Rebecca Culhane for About.com. Today I'm gonna show you how to make a Pin the Tail on the Cat game. This Game is perfect for you kids Halloween Party and can be made in just a few minutes with these supplies.

What You'll Need for a "Pin the Tail on the Cat" Game

  • Black Poster Board
  • Blindfold
  • Yellow Construction paper
  • Silver Marker
  • Poster Tack
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Cut out the Cat and Tails for the Game

Start by making an outline of the cats body on the black piece of poster board with your silver marker. When finished cut out the cat and set it aside. Next, from the yellow construction paper, outline the eyes for the cat and use scraps from the black poster board to make a pupil for the cats eye. Attach it to the poster board using tape. Cut out the tails for your cat. It's fun to sketch a variety of different tails. Make sure to cut out enough tails for all the children playing the game. Cut out the tails, and number them 1, 2, 3, and so on until all the tails are numbered. Apply poster tack to the back of the cat as well as the back of each tail.

When it's time for the game, mount the cat onto the wall at a height that will be easy for the children playing the game to reach.

How to Play the "Pin the Tail on the Cat" Game:

Assign each child a tail, and have the child remember the number on the tail they are given. Blindfold the first child, spin him or her around three times, and let the child attempt to pin the tail onto the cat while remaining blindfolded. Repeat the process with each child until they have all played. The child who places the tail closest to the spot where the tail belongs on the cat, is the winner.
