Transcript:How to Make a Father's Day Coupon Gift Book

Hi, I'm Devita Jacobs for About.com, and I'd like to show you how to make a coupon gift book for Father's Day. Coupon gift books are easy to create using craft materials from around the house.

Craft Supplies for Father's Day Coupon Gift Book

You will need:
  • Construction paper
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Yarn
  • Markers

Making Your Father's Day Crafts

Cut the sheets of construction paper into three equal sections. Folding the construction paper first helps you find the lines of symmetry in the paper before cutting them out. Use a lightly colored sheet of paper to write the coupon gifts. Think of things your dad frequently asks you to do around the house, such as cleaning your room or eating all your vegetables. Create a coupon for each task for your dad to use whenever he wants to encourage you to do something. Decorate each coupon with a picture showing the chore or task you plan to perform. Loop the tape and attach it to the back of the coupon. Affix the coupon to the construction paper. Repeat this process for all coupons until complete. A group of 10 or 12 coupons is sufficient for a Father's Day gift. Stack all the sheets of construction paper together to create a booklet. Use a hole punch to create three holes along the edge of the coupon. Bind the edges of the paper together using yarn or a shoestring.

And that is how you create a coupon gift booklet for Father's Day. Thanks for watching. For more information, visit us on the web at About.com.
