Transcript:How to Make a Customized Bookmark
Hi, I'm Katie from About.com and today I'll show you how to make a back to school bookmark.
Materials for a Custom Bookmark
You will need:
- Clear tape
- Ribbon (color of your choice)
- Construction paper (also color of your choice)
- Permanent marker
- Glitter glue
- Scissors
- A spreading object, I use a pen that doesn’t have any ink in it.
How to Make a Custom Bookmark
Take a regular sized sheet of construction paper and fold it in half. Cut the paper on the fold line. Pick up one of the halves and fold it in half. Cut on the fold but this time keep both halves.
Take your roll of ribbon and cut a piece about two inches long. Use that piece by laying it on one of the pieces of paper. Secure it with a piece or two of tape.
Place the other piece of paper over the one that you taped the ribbon on. Attach that piece of paper to the other by using your tape. Decorate with marker designs and accent with the glitter glue.
