Fold a piece of construction paper in half. Fold this sheet in half one more time. Unfold the last step and cut the paper in half you should have created two blank note cards. Repeat this step until you have the desired number of invitations. Trace out the shape of a balloon on a piece of construction paper approximately 2” in diameter. Don’t worry if it isn’t perfect, Balloons come in all shapes and sizes.
Cut a Balloon Template
Now cut out the Balloon. This will serve as you template for creating multiple Balloons. Using several different colors of construction paper trace out enough balloons to supply three per invitation. Cut out your balloons. After. you have all of your balloons cut place three balloons on a single card overlapping the balloons. Don’t apply glue yet. Take a few moments to decide how you want the balloons to look.
Glue the Candle and Fill Out the Invitation
Once you are happy with the layout. Apply glue to the back of each balloon and secure to the card. You may additional decorate the exterior of the card or add “It’s a party” for example as a lead in to the interior. On the inside of the card, include information your guests need to know about your party such as date, time and address. Use your creativity and have fun making your cards.
