Hi, I'm Ann Erik for About.com Health.

Kick Boxing Front Kick

The front kick is a four-part movement. Pull your knee up, extend it out, bring it back, place it down. Be sure to kick with the ball of your foot and Remember to keep your left knee soft.

Remember never lock out your joints - this can lead to injury. Keep them slightly softened and slightly contracted. Always keep a slight bend in the knee.

Remember, the most important thing is form not the height of your kicks. If you're a beginner, you can keep your kicks knee-level.

Kick Boxing Side Kick

Pivot your right hip in the direction of the kick. Shifting your weight to your left foot. Your knee comes out in front of your body. Strike out through the heel of your foot. Remember not to lock your knee. Bring your knee in and down.

Kick Boxing Back Kick

Bring your body weight on to your left foot, bend slightly forward. Lift your right foot and extend through your heel and pull it back in and set it down.
