Hi! My name is Kimberly Van Diepen, I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, and today I am going to show you how to make this beautiful floral centerpiece for a baby shower. So let's get started.
Instructions for Making a Floral Baby Shower Centerpiece
The first thing we are going to do is put the floral pieces into the jar and then just make them pretty. All I am going to take is some white grosgrain ribbon and wrap it around the tin, we are going to tie this in a knot. Now that we have our bow already made, I just want to trim up the ends with some ribbon scissors. So I am just going to make a V, it's time to get stamping. So I am going to use this beautiful floral stamp, and the first thing that we want to do is we are going to take some craft ink.
Basics for Making a Floral Baby Shower Centerpiece
Now, craft ink is a pigment ink so it's very wet. So we are going to ink this stamp up really good and then we are going to stamp right directly to our paper. Now, because the ink is wet, we need to take our Clear Embossing Powder and just dump it right over that wet ink. You are going to take your heat tool and you are just going to heat up that embossing powder. You'll notice that your image is nice and bossed when you see clear and you have no dry powder left. We are going to color our image using a blender pan and some inks. In order to get the image water colored, if you take your ink and click, click, you will get some ink right at the top of your stamp pad. So the first thing we are going to do is color the leaves.
Next Steps for Making a Floral Baby Shower Centerpiece
Now, once your image is complete, you will have a beautiful floral image like this. Now, the next step is we want to create a tag. So I am actually going to rip some of this on either side. Now, I am going to take my SNAIL Adhesive, I am going to put it on the back, and I am going to adhere it directly to my Pear Pizzazz Cardstock, just like this. Now, we are going to take the Crop-A-Dile and we are going to use the large hole, and we are going to punch a hole right at the top. And we are going to use a large eyelet, push it through that hole, and once again, we are going to use the Crop-A-Dile, come in, and squeeze to set that eyelet. We are going to take a piece of pattern paper and I just want to make a quick banner. In order to make the banner I am going to cut a V using my scissors on either side.
Now, we are just going to put some adhesive on the back and we are going to adhere this right down at the bottom. Now, one of the next things I did was I went head and die cut some letters; B, A, B, Y, and we are going to attach these letters right at the bottom of the tag.The last thing you are going to do is take some linen thread and thread it through your eyelet, and then you are just going to wrap that around your floral centerpiece. Just take your scissors, trim off your ends, and get it to hang. And that's how you make this beautiful floral centerpiece for a baby shower.
