Transcript:Use Microsoft Publisher to Add Pictures or Clip Art

Hi, I'm Don Schechter for About.com Computing. Today I'll show you how to insert pictures and clip art into your document in Microsoft Publisher. This is useful if you want to customize to pre-designed publications or if you are starting a publication from scratch.

Use Microsoft Publisher to Import Clip Art

First open Microsoft Publisher. Choose either a blank document or a pre-designed publication. I'll choose a blank one. Now on the left toolbar click the Picture icon and choose Clip Art. The task pane on the left will ask you to search for what you're looking for. Type in what you want. To narrow your search you can select a certain collection to look in and choose a type of media.

I'll search in all collections and for some clip art and photographs. Click Go. Double-click the image you want in your document.

Now you can resize it by clicking and dragging a corner circle. You can also adjust the image by using the Picture toolbar. There are many options including adjusting the brightness, contrast and color.
