Hi, I'm Matthew Malzkuhn from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., for About.com. Today, I am going to show you how to sign different way of closing in the end of the conversation in different situations.

Common Goodbye Signs

  • Wave(bye-bye)
  • Nod
  • Thumb-Up
  • See You Later
  • Hug
  • Handshake

Sample Goodbye Scenario

Person 1: I better get going now pick up my kid. I will see you tomorrow.

I GET GOING KID PICK-UP. SEE YOU TOMORROW.

Person 2: Ok, I will see you tomorrow then.

THUMB-UP, SEE-YOU-TOMORROW. WAVE

Person 1: Bye
