Transcript:How to Make Dairy-Free Chocolate Frosting
Hi, I'm Marilou Iuliano with About.com and today we'll be going over how to make dairy-free chocolate frosting.
Dairy-Free Chocolate Frosting Ingredients
You'll need:
- 2 cups of organic powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup of softened dairy-free soy margarine
- 1/4 cup of plain, unsweetened almond or soymilk
- 3/4 cup of unsweetened pure cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Creating Dairy-Free Chocolate Frosting
To start, add the powdered sugar and margarine into a medium or large sized mixing bowl. Take an electric hand mixer and beat until thick and combined. Pour milk into bowl. Next, add the milk, followed by the cocoa powder, and the vanilla.
Once all the ingredients are added, continue mixing until smooth.
This is a perfect dairy-free topping to add to your cakes, cupcakes, or other tasty desserts.
