Transcript:Quick Tip: How to Get to Know Your Professors
Hi, my name is Justin Teitell and today we're going to talk about how to get to know your professors.
Meet Your TAs
Taking the necessary steps to get to know your professors can enhance your learning experience, help improve your grades and get you those letters of recommendation you will eventually need. A lecture halls can have upwards of 400 students, so sometimes your only interaction will be with a teaching assistant. Knowing your TA can be just as important.
Learn Professor's Office Hours
Make sure you know your professors' office hours and schedule a visit before the semester ends. Let them know right away if you are having difficulty with the subject. This shows a professor you take the class seriously and your desire to learn.
Collaborate With Professor
Find out about student-professor collaborations, like research assistant positions or the chance to sit on a panel. All of these experiences will help you to get to know your professors.
I'm Justin Teitell, thanks for watching. For more information about college, please visit About.com.
