Transcript:Top 5 Holiday Mocktails
Hi, I’m Josh from Annie’s Cafe & Bar in Denver Colorado. I’m here for About.com to show you how to make 5 popular Winter Holiday Mocktails.
Baby Bellini Mocktail:
This is a non-alcoholic version of a classic holiday drink. You will need:
- 2 oz peach nectar
- 1 oz lemon juice
- apple cider to taste
- peach slice for garnish
Depending on the look of you party, this can be served in a traditional champagne flute or a martini glass. To begin, measure out 2 oz of peach nectar and pour into a chilled glass. Measure out an ounce of lemon juice and add to the glass. Now top with apple cider. Garnish with a peach slice and serve.
Cider Egg Nog Mocktail:
- 4 oz light cream
- 1 egg
- apple cider to taste
- 1 tsp powdered sugar
- dash of nutmeg
Measure out and pour 4 oz light cream into a shaker filled with ice. Add the egg. Sprinkle in a teaspoon of powdered sugar. Shake well. Pour into a high ball glass. Top with cider If you like, sprinkle with nutmeg. Add a straw and you are ready to serve.
Passion Fruit Mocktail:
- 4 oz passion fruit juice
- a splash of cranberry juice
- a splash of lemon juice
- club soda
- a cherry for garnish
Measure out 4 oz passion fruit juice and pour into a high ball glass packed with ice. Add a splash of lemon juice. Add a splash of cranberry juice. Top with club soda. Garnish with a cherry. Add a straw and serve.
Christmas Punch Mocktail:
- 2 oz of apple juice
- 1 oz of cranberry juice
- 1 oz of ginger ale
- a splash of lemon juice
- 3 - 4 cranberries
- a dash of sugar
Measure out the apple juice and pour into a rocks glass packed with ice. Add the cranberry juice. Add a splash of lemon juice. Sprinkle in a dash of sugar. Top with ginger ale. Give it a stir. Garnish with 3 - 4 cranberries.
Passion Fruit Spritzer Mocktail:
- 4 oz of passion fruit juice
- club soda to taste
- and a lime for garnish.
Measure out 4 oz of passion fruit juice and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with club soda and give it a stir. Garnish with a wedge of lime and you are ready to serve.
