Hello, my name is Amanda Hertzler, a mixologist here at the St Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, Colorado. Today I am her for About.com to show you how to make a whiskey sour.
Shake the Whiskey Sour Ingredients
For the whiskey sour, we are going to be serving it in a lowball glass. First, we are going to be using our shaker and fill that up with ice. Use the juice of a half a lemon. Then you are going to use a half a teaspoon of powdered sugar and two ounces of blended whiskey. Then we are going to chill that.
Strain Whiskey Sour and Serve
Then we are gong to strain it into that lowball, and garnish with half a lemon slice and a cherry. And there's your whiskey sour. This whiskey sour is straight up;you can also serve it on the rocks.
