Transcript:How to Make a Tequila Sunrise Margarita
Hello, my name is Amanda Hertzler, I am a mixologist at the St Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, Colorado, and I am here with About.com to show you how to make a tequila sunrise margarita. The tequila sunrise margarita is a great margarita to make. It is a little different than a typical margarita in that it has grenadine, which is going to add a different color, as well as some cherry flavor.
Stir Tequila Sunrise Lightly in the Shaker
How you are going to want to prepare this is fill your shaker with the ice. You are going to use two ounces of tequila, and add four ounces of orange juice. You are just going to stir that in the shaker.
Stir in Grenadine to Complete the Tequila Sunrise
Then you are going to fill up your highball with some ice and strain the mixture into that highball. You are just going to pour in three-quarter ounces of grenadine, and stir it for that sunrise look. Top it off with a cherry and an orange and you've got your tequila sunrise margarita.
