Hello, my name is Amanda Hertzler, I am a mixologist at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, Colorado and today I am here with About.com to show you how to make a Bloody Mary hangover remedy.
The Spices in Bloody Marys Help Hangovers
The Bloody Mary cocktail has long been known to help hangover symptoms. Often times when someone's got a hangover you are going to hear them mention, "I need a hair of the dog," that generally means they are looking for a real spicy Bloody Mary.
Chill and Shake the Bloody Mary
For the Bloody Mary hangover remedy, you are going to use a shaker and you are going to fill it up with ice. You are going to pour 1 1/2 ounces of vodka, 3 dashes of Tobasco sauce, one 5.5 ounce can of V-8 , a 1/2 teaspoon horseradish, a 1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. The you are going to chill it and then pour it into that highball. Add some salt & pepper to taste.
Garnish with a celery stick, olives, and a lime and lemon. A great Bloody mary hangover remedy will awaken your senses. With a combination of spices and alcohol, it will have you feeling better sooner than later.
