Hi, I’m Josh from Annie’s Cafe & Bar in Denver Colorado. I’m here for About.com to show you how to make 5 easy tequila cocktails.

Margarita Cocktail:

To get started, I’m going to show you how to make a classic margarita. Before you begin, you’ll need:1 1/2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz triple sec, a dash of lemon or lime juice, 3 oz of sour mix, a lime wedge for garnish, and salt or sugar to rim the glass.

Pour the tequila into an ice-filled shaker. Add the triple sec. Pour in the sour mix, add a dash of lime juice. Now cover and shake well. If you like, you can salt the rim of a chilled glass. Pour the mixture into the glass. Garnish with a wedge of lime and you are ready to serve.

Tequila Sunrise Cocktail:

Next, I’m going to show you how to make a Tequila Sunrise. To get started, you’ll need: 4 oz orange juice, 2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz grenadine, an orange slice, and a maraschino cherry for garnish.

Pour the oz of tequila into an ice-filled highball glass. Add 4 oz of orange juice. Pour the grenadine along edge of the glass to give it the glow of a sunrise. Add the orange and cherry to garnish and you are ready to serve.
