Transcript:How to Make 5 Easy Rum Cocktails
Hi, I’m Josh from Annie’s Cafe & Bar in Denver Colorado. I’m here for About.com to show you how to make 5 easy rum cocktails.
Rum & Coke Cocktail:
To get started, I’m going to show you how to make a rum and coke. Before you begin, you’ll need: 2 oz rum, cola, lime wedge for garnish. Pour 2 oz of rum into an ice-filled highball glass. Top with cola. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Bishop Cocktail:
Next, I’m going to show you how to make a bishop cocktail. You’ll need: Pour 1 1/2 oz of white rum into an ice-packed high ball glass. Now add 3/4 oz of orange juice. Add a dash of grenadine. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry. You are ready to serve.
Cuban Rose Cocktail:
Next, I’m going to show you how to make a Cuban rose. To get started, you’ll need: 1 1/2 oz white rum, 3/4 oz orange juice, and a dash of grenadine. Pour rum into an ice-filled shaker. Now add the orange juice. Add a dash of grenadine. Shake this mixture well. You can strain into a chilled cocktail glass or a highball glass filled with ice.
Red & Yellow Cocktail:
Next, I’m going to show you how to make a red & yellow. Before you begin, you’ll need: 2 oz of light rum, 1/2 oz grenadine, 1/4 oz of lime juice, lemon lime soda, and a lemon or lime wedge for garnish; Pour the rum into an old-fashioned glass with ice. Add a the grenadine. Add a splash of lime juice. Top with lemon lime soda to taste. Garnish with the lemon or lime wedge.
Dark & Stormy Cocktail:
Finally, I’m going to show you how to make a dark & stormy. Before you begin, you’ll need: 2 oz of rum, 3 oz of ginger beer, and a lime wedge for garnish.
