Transcript:How to Make 5 Easy Gin Cocktails
Hi, I’m Josh from Annie’s Cafe & Bar in Denver Colorado. I’m here for About.com to show you how to make 5 easy gin cocktails.
Gin & Tonic Cocktail:
To get started, I’m going to show you how to make a gin & tonic. Before you begin, you’ll need: 2 oz gin, 5 oz tonic water, lime wedge for garnish; Pour 2 oz gin into an ice-filled highball glass. Add 5 oz of tonic water. Add a straw. Stir well. Garnish with the lime wedge.
Smoky Martini Cocktail:
Next, I’m going to show you how to make a smokey martini. Before you begin, you’ll need: 2 1/2 oz gin, dash of scotch, lemon twist for garnish. Pour 2 1/2 oz gin into a high ball glass filled with ice. Pour in a dash of Scotch. Garnish with a lemon twist. Add a straw and serve.
Tom Collins Cocktail:
Next, I’m going to show you how to make a Tom Collins. You will need: 1 1/2 oz gin, 1 oz lemon juice, 1/2 oz simple syrup, club soda, maraschino cherry for garnish, lemon slice for garnish; Pour 1 1/2 oz of gin into an ice-filled high ball glass. Now, add 1 oz of lemon juice. Pour in 1/2 oz of simple syrup. Give it a stir. Top with club soda. Garnish with the cherry and orange slice.
Gimlet Cocktail:
Now, I’m going to show you how to make a gimlet. You will need: 2 oz of gin, and 1 3/4 oz of lime juice. Pour 2 oz of gin into an ice filled shaker. Add 1 3/4 oz of lime juice. Shake well. Strain into an ice-filled high ball glass. Add a straw. Give it a stir and serve.
Gin Buck Cocktail:
Finally, I’m going to show you how to make a Gin Buck. You will need: 2 oz gin, Ginger ale, lime wedge for garnish. Pour 2 oz gin into a high ball glass filled with ice. Now top with ginger ale.
