Transcript:How to Make 5 Autumn Cocktails

Hi, I’m Josh from Annie’s Cafe & Bar in Denver Colorado. I’m here for About.com to show you how to make 5 autumn cocktails.

Devon Gin Cocktail:

To get started, I’m going to show you how to make a devon gin cocktail. You will need: 3 oz sweet cider, 1 oz gin, 1/2 oz of triple secPour 1 oz of gin into an ice-filled old fashioned glass. Now add 1/2 oz of triple sec. Top with cider. Add a straw and you are ready to serve.

Irish Kiss Cocktail:

Next, I’m going to show you how to make an Irish kiss. You will need: 1 oz of Irish cream, 1 oz of coffee liqueur, hot coffee, and whipped cream for a garnish. Pour 1 oz of Irish cream into a coffee mug. Now go ahead and add 1 oz of coffee liqueur. Cover this mixture with hot, black coffee. Give it a stir. Cover with whipped cream for a garnish.

New Old Fahioned Cocktail:

Next, I’m going to show you how to make a new old fahioned. You will need: 1 oz Irish whiskey, 1/2 oz of amaretto, 1/4 oz of simple syrup, a dash of bitters, and an orange peel for garnish. To get started, add an oz of Irish whiskey to a shaker filled with ice. Now add in 1/2 oz of amaretto. Pour in 1/4 oz of simple syrup. Add a dash of bitters. Shake well. Strain into a high ball glass. Add an orange peel for garnish and serve.

Caramel Apple Martini Cocktail:

Next, I’m going to show you how to make a caramel apple martini. You will need: 1 oz of vodka, 1 oz of apple pucker, 1/2 oz of coffee liqueur, 1/4 oz of butterscotch schnapps, and sugar to rim the glass rim. Start by adding a sugar rim to a chilled cocktail glass. Turn the glass over, dip the rim in lime juice, now dip it in sugar. Next, add 1 oz of vodka to an ice-filled shaker. Pour in 1 oz of apple pucker. Add 1/2 oz of coffee liqueur. Now pour in 1/4 oz of butterscotch schnapps. Shake well. Strain into your sugar rimmed cocktail glass and serve.

Hot Toddy Cocktail:

Finally, I’m going to show you how to make a hot toddy, a great hot whisky drink to warm you up on a cold autumn day. You will need: 1 oz of whiskey, 1 tbsp honey, a lemon wedge, and 1 cup of hot tea. Pour the honey into a mug . Now add 1 oz of whiskey. Cover with hot tea. Squeeze in the fresh lemon and serve.
