Transcript:How To Make A Cosmopolitan Cocktail
Hello, I'm Thomas Kunick, we're here at the Downtown Cocktail Room for About.com. Today we're going to create a Cosmopolitan.
Ingredients for a Cosmopolitan Cocktail
The ingredients that you'll need are:
- 1 and a half ounces of vodka
- 3/4 of an ounce of triple sec
- 1 ounce of cranberry juice
- 1/2 ounce of lime juice
Prepare the Lime Juice
First step, start with the lime juice. Cut your limes, cut your lime in half, take your fruit press, we're going to squeeze out one half an ounce. Okay, one half ounce of lime juice.
Combine Ingredients for Cosmopolitan
Ounce and a half of vodka, three quarters of an ounce of triple sec, and one ounce of cranberry juice. Put a little ice in your shaker tin, give it a good shake, pour it in, and then to garnish this--take a lemon, shave off a nice thin strip of lemon zest, squeeze it over the top of your cocktail.
This cocktail was originally designed for a citrus vodka, and this kinda helps get the lemon aspect in. And there you go, the Cosmopolitan. Thank you for watching, to learn more visit us on the web at About.com.
