Transcript:5 Winter Cocktail Garnishes
Hi, I’m Josh from Annie’s Cafe & Bar in Denver, Colorado. I’m here for About.com to show you how to make 5 winter holiday cocktail garnishes.
Cranberry & Rosemary Garnish
I'm going to start by showing you how to make a Cranberry & Rosemary Garnish. You will need:
- 1 sprig of rosemary
- 3 -4 raspberries
- a cocktail skewer.
Pick a long straight piece of rosemary. Thread 3 - 4 raspberries onto the rosemary. This makes an elegant red and green garnish for a holiday cocktail.
Holiday Whipped Cream & Vanilla Garnish
Next, I'm going to show you how to make a Holiday Whipped Cream & Vanilla Garnish. You will need:
- whipped cream
- 1 stick of vanilla.
Top any warm, holiday beverage with whipped cream and then add a whole stick of vanilla for a simple, elegant holiday garnish.
Orange & Cinnamon Garnish
Now, i'm going to show you how to make an Orange & Cinnamon Garnish. You will need:
- 1 orange
- 1 -2 sticks of cinnamon.
Start by cutting the orange into thin slices. Take one slice and cut to the center of the orange. Add the orange slice and 2 cinnamon sticks for a perfect holiday garnish.
Whipped Cream & Holly Garnish
Next, I'm going to show you how to make a Whipped Cream & Holly Garnish. You will need:
- 1 Sprig or mint
- 1 raspberry or 3 cranberries
- whipped cream.
Start by topping a warm, holiday beverage with whipped cream. Now add a sprig of mint. Place a raspberry onto of the mint. If you like you can simply add a sprig of mint and arrange 3 cranberries in the whipped cream so they look like holly.
Pomegranate & Lime Garnish
Finally I am going to show you how to make a Pomegranate & Lime Garnish. You will need:
- pomegranate seeds
- a lime
- a cocktail skewer.
Start by cutting the lime into thin slices. Pierce it with a cocktail skewer and gently rest it on the edges of a holiday cocktail glass. Fill the lime with pomegranate seeds and you have a beautiful, red and green holiday garnish.
