Hawaiian Iced Tea

To get started, I'm going to show you how to make a Hawaiian Iced Tea. You'll need:

  • 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz light rum
  • 1/2 oz tequila
  • 1/2 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz sour mix
  • 1 oz of pineapple juice
  • a lime wedge

We are going to build this mixture into a Collins glass. Pour 1/2 oz of vodka into an ice-packed Collins glass. Now add 1/2 oz of light rum. Go ahead and pour in 1/2 oz of tequila. Add 1/2 oz of gin. Pour in 1/2 oz of triple sec. Add 1 oz of sour mix, and finally pour in an oz of pineapple juice. Add a straw. Stir. Garnish with a lime wedge and a cherry and you are ready to serve.

Margarita

This is a classic summer cocktail. You'll need:

  • 1 1/2 oz tequila
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • a dash of lemon or lime juice
  • 3 oz of sour mix
  • a lime wedge for garnish
  • salt or sugar to rim the glass

Pour the tequila into an ice-filled shaker. Add the triple sec. pour in the sour mix, add a dash of lime juice. Now cover and shake well. If you like, you can salt the rim of a chilled glass. Pour the mixture into the glass. Garnish with a wedge of lime and you are ready to serve.

Dark & Stormy

This drink is great for a stormy summer night. You'll need:

  • 2 oz of rum
  • 3 oz of ginger beer
  • a lime wedge for garnish

To begin, add the 2 oz of rum into a highball glass filled with ice. Pour in the ginger beer. Now simply garnish with the lime and you are ready to serve.

Gin & Tonic

Now, I'm going to show you how to make a simple, refreshing, gin-based summer drink, a Gin & Tonic. You'll need:

  • 2 oz gin
  • 5 oz tonic water
  • a lime wedge for garnish.

Start by pouring 2 oz gin into a highball glass filled with ice. Now go ahead and pour in 5 oz of tonic water. Add a straw and give it a stir. Add a lime wedge for garnish and you are ready to serve.

Tequila Sunrise

Finally, I'm going to show you how to make a citrusy, tequila-based summer drink, a Tequila Sunrise. To get started, you'll need: 4 oz orange juice, 2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz grenadine, an orange slice, and a maraschino cherry for garnish. Begin by pouring 2 oz of tequila into an ice-filled highball glass. Now go ahead and add 4 oz of orange juice. Pour 1/2 oz of grenadine along the edge of the glass, giving the drink a red glow like a sunrise. Simply garnish with the orange and cherry and serve.
