Transcript:5 Easy Vodka Cocktails

Hello, my name is Amanda Hetzler and I am a mixologist at the St Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, Colorado and today I am here with About.com to show you how to make 5 easy vodka cocktails.

As a mixologist, vodka is something we pour more of than any of our other alcohols; it's a great mixer. They are really easy; you just pour a shot of vodka in and top it off with whatever mixer you feel like using.

Vodka Soda Cocktail

The first easy vodka cocktail is going to be a vodka soda. You are going to pour 1 1/2 ounces of vodka and top it off with soda. Then you are going to garnish with a lime and a straw. And there's your vodka soda.

Vodka Seven Cocktail

The next easy vodka cocktail is going to be the vodka seven. Use 1 1/2 ounces of vodka, then you are going to top it off with 7up or sprite, depending on what you have. And again you can garnish with either a lime or a lemon; and there's your vodka & seven.

Vodka and Juice Cocktails

These next three easy vodka cocktails are going to be made with vodka and juice. The first one is going to be the Screwdriver. Another easy vodka cocktail with juice is going to be the Greyhound. Another easy vodka with juice is going to be the Madras.
