Transcript:5 Cheers About Winning
Hi, I'm Greg Gilbert, head coach at Seton Hall University. We're here at Central Jersey All Stars in Kenilworth, NJ. Today we're teaching you five cheers about competing.Just a couple tips before that about cheering in general.
Foundations of Cheers for Cheerleading
Tip number one, make sure you have good motion placement. You don't want to go out there looking a mess.
Tip number two, you want to make sure your voice is loud and that you bring it up and down. Have a little bit of inflection. If your monotone the crowds not going to want to follow you.
Number three is the pace. It is very, very important that it's not too fast because your going to be muffled especially with sounds bouncing off the walls.
And last but not least, is energy. No matter what your doing on the floor as a cheerleader you need to be energetic.
Cheers about Winning
Our first cheer is called Hey Hall.
Hey Hall, beat the Knights. Hey Hall, beat the Knights. Last time. Hey Hall, beat the Knights. Good.
When doing cheers about winning you want to make sure your positive and energetic.
Our second one is Go Fight Win. Go Fight Win.
Go Fight Win, Go Fight Win. Go Last time. Fight Win. Go Fight Win.
Our third cheer about winning is more of something that we do at the end of the game. It's in the tradition of winning. And it's called We are Seton Hall.
We are Seton Hall. We are Seton Hall. We are, Stop, Seton Hall.
Our fourth cheer about winning involves adding another school's mascot in that you want to beat.
Let's here you yell it Pirates. Beat the Knights. Let's here you yell it Pirates. Beat the Knights. Good. Let's here you yell it Pirates. Beat the Knights. And stop.
And last but not least, our fifth cheer about offense is just called Win.
W I N Let's Win, W I N Let's Win. Last time W I N Let's Win.
