Transcript:5 Best Samsung Phones

Hi, I'm Shane Murphy, your technology guru for About.com. Today, we'll review the best Samsung phones on the market.

Samsung Phones: Galaxy SII Epic 4G

The Samsung Galaxy SII Epic 4G is one of the reigning champions on the smart phone market, thanks to a huge 4.5 inch display screen, an 8 MP camera, and a 1.2ghz dual core processor running the latest version of android. This particularly bulky model lacks a kickstand, but the high density battery and 16 GB internal memory mean you'll have plenty of time and media at your disposal for enjoying wherever you please, all for $200 with a plan.

Samsung Phones: Galaxy S

Samsung's original Galaxy S is no slouch either though: it still runs the Android operating system, can record HD video, and can hold up to 32 GB of internal memory, all for a price tag around $50 with a plan. A 1 GHZ processor, 5 MP camera, and 4 inch display aren't too shabby by any standards for a modern smart phone.

Samsung Phones: Showcase

If you're looking for a touchscreen smart phone that's free with a plan, you can check out the Samsung Showcase, an Android-powered device that can be upgraded all the way to version 2.2. The 4" AMOLED touch screen allows the Showcase to be only 10mm thick and weigh only 4.6 ounces. The photos taken from the 5 MP camera look spectacular on the super bright display.

Samsung Phones: Replenish

The Samsung Replenish offers a hybrid touchscreen/QWERTY keyboard model for only $50 with a mail in rebate, representing one of the best physical messaging models you can get for the Android operating system. Marketed as an eco-friendly phone, this mobile is extremely energy efficient and is made from completely recycled materials.

Samsung Phones: Sidekick

Samsung's Sidekick flip out model for T-mobile offers another combination QWERTY keyboard with a touchscreen that still packs in a 480x800 resolution. This phone also features a 1 GHZ processor powering the Android operating system and the enhanced messaging and social networking features packed in by the carrier, all for $100 with a contract.
