Hi I'm Nick Jaynes for about.com and this is guide to the 2011 Toyota Lineup.

About the Toyota Company

Currently Toyota stands as the number one automaker in the US and has a diverse vehicle lineup all the way from subcompacts like the Yaris to full-size SUVs and trucks like the Tundra.

Models in the 2011 Toyota Lineup

Of their 19 vehicles, one of the newest is the 2011 4Runner. This is the 5th generation of the 4Runner and the largest to date. Like other 4Runners of the past, this one is extremely off-road capable with Toyota's A-TRAC four-wheel-drive system. Unlike like the last model, this new model is no longer available with a V8 under the hood. Instead you get the choice of a 4-liter V6 or inline four-cylinder. A well-equipped model will cost you around $36,000.

As you can see, the 4Runner has been beefed up. It's wider, longer, taller, and looks more bottom-heavy. Surprisingly for a big SUV, its most impressive feature is it's braking capabilities. Look how fast it comes to a stop from 40mph.

Toyota Prius

On nearly the other end of the Toyota scale is the Prius. This one is the new Prius wagon: The Prius V -- the V stands for versatility. Just like it's little brother the standard Prius, it is a hybrid. But unlike the original, the new V has an electric vehicle mode. This allows the V to drive for short distances -- up to a mile -- on the battery pack alone. The new V also has a ‘Power' driving mode giving the V more mid-range responsiveness that will make uphill ascents easier.Attached to the renowned hybrid drive system is a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder gas-powered engine.

The Prius V will achieve an EPA estimated 44 mpg and features 80% more interior cargo room than most small SUVs on the market. Also new to the Prius V is the Pitch and Bounce Control, works with suspension enhancements to improve ride comfort and control. Because the Prius v is a larger vehicle more likely to carry loads and passengers, front and rear suspension components have been redesigned to improve handling and ride quality.
