Ingredients for Candy Corn Fudge

To make candy corn fudge, you will need:
  • 2 cups (12 oz) white chocolate chips
  • 1 can (16 ounces) vanilla frosting
  • yellow and orange (or red) food coloring
  • 1/2 cup candy corn

Prepare a Pan

Start by covering an 8x8 pan with aluminum foil and spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray.

Create Yellow Fudge Layer

Place 4 ounces, or about 2/3 cup white chocolate chips in a glass bowl. Microwave it in short bursts until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Once the chocolate is melted, add approximately 1/3 of the frosting and a few drops of yellow food coloring. You can eyeball the frosting amount, it doesn't have to be precise. Stir until everything is combined, and adjust the coloring until you get a yellow that you like.

Scrape the yellow fudge into the pan and spread it into an even layer. Refrigerate it until it's mostly set, about 20 minutes. The fudge doesn't have to be rock hard, but should be set enough so that it doesn’t move when the pan is tilted.

Create Orange Fudge Layer

Repeat this same process again: melt 2/3 cup of white chocolate, then stir in half of the remaining frosting. This time, use orange food coloring instead of yellow. If you don’t have orange coloring, use a mix of red and yellow colors. Pour the orange fudge on top of the yellow fudge, smooth it in an even layer, and return to the refrigerator to allow the new layer to set.

Create White Fudge Layer

Once it's set, do it all once more, using the remaining white chocolate and frosting. This time you don't have to add any food coloring, because we want the top layer white.

Top Fudge with Candy Corn

Pour the white fudge over the orange layer and smooth it out. We want to top our fudge with candy corn while it's still soft so that they stick. You can just place them on top by guesswork, or you can draw yourself a little grid to help space them evenly. Whichever way you choose, firmly press the candy corn into the top of the fudge and then refrigerate the fudge until it's set, about 2 hours.

Cut and Serve Candy Corn Fudge

Once it's set, cut the fudge into 1-inch squares. It's easiest to use a large knife with a smooth blade, and wipe the blade often so that the colors don't smear. This is a fun and easy fudge that's perfect for Halloween, and you can change up the colors for different holidays, to celebrate your sports teams, or to match a party theme.
