Transcript: Fudge-Dipped Marshmallows

Hi, I'm Kimberly Reiner of Momma Reiner's Fudge to talk about fudge-dipped marshmallows for About.com Food.

Fudge-Dipped Marshmallows Supplies

What you'll need to make fudge dipped marshmallows is:
  • a clean, dry work surface
  • a tray, or you can put parchment paper down on your table
  • marshmallows
  • some type of stick, either lollipop sticks or barbecue skewers
  • a bowl of fudge, piping hot, at approximately 234 degrees F
You can buy marshmallows at the store, or if you make your own marshmallows, I suggest that you cut them into one inch by one inch, into square shapes.

Dip the Marshmallow in Fudge

Mix your fudge, so that it is nice and thick and liquidy. Take your marshmallow, dip it in the fudge, and scrape it against the bowl so you have a flat edge.

Place it on your parchment paper, push the stick out, and let your marshmallow rest.

Dip your marshmallow, scrape it against the edge, and place it on the parchment paper.

Let it rest, trying not to make too much of a gooey mess on the sides of the marshmallow.

Try Different Flavors of Fudge

If you would like a variation, you can leave your marshmallows plain. Or while they're still hot, you can decorate them for the holidays.

You can use a different flavors of fudge, and you can do the same thing and have a different flavors of fudge-dipped marshmallows.
