Hello! I am Jacques Torres from Jacques Torres Chocolates. Welcome to About.com. Today I'm going to show you how to do a great gift, made with chocolates and cornflakes. And everybody is guaranteed to love that. So let me show you how to do it.Mix the Chocolate Cornflake Cluster Ingredients
First we need some dark chocolate, 60 percent bitter sweet. And a little bit of cornflakes. So just sprinkle the cornflakes on top of the chocolate and you can put as many or as little as you want. But that bring a nice crunch to the chocolates. So mix that together. I think I am going to need a little bit more. You see that. Its a little bit runny so add a little bit more of the cornflakes. That should be perfect. Good. Look at that.Form the Cornflake Cluster Mounds
OK, now that everything is very well blended together, with a tablespoon, we are going to scoop that and make some little mounds like that. So it takes some times to do that. So start with your chocolate not too too too cold, otherwise the chocolate will seize too fast, and of course the bigger the mounds are the faster it will go to make them. So that takes a few minutes. But as you can see it is very easy and anyone can do that at home.Refrigerate the Chocolate Cornflake Clusters
I am going to put that into the fridge for about 10 minutes - just a time for the chocolate to crystallize for the cocoa butter to come hard. And then I am going to show you how I package that, how I make that a beautiful gift. Okay. Like we say in French, voila!Package the Cluster Candies
So, I am going to put that in the fridge, and show you how to package them. Easy, simple, fast! 1-2-3! So you take a little cellophane bag and then fill it with the cornflakes, chocolate, and try to just drop them in and don't rub them against each other too much because otherwise they will not be shiny. So perhaps one more, ok we have a nice little bag now. Then we squeeze the bag like that, and then I am going to put a little ribbon. Now I am going to do a little bow and we're pretty much done.
And voila we have a perfect little gift for any kind of occasion. Thanks for watching and if you want to see a little bit more, please visit us at About.com. Merci.
