Transcript: How to Make Hanging Picture Frames From CD Cases
Hi, my name is Lea Elleseff and you are watching about.com home and garden. Today I'm going to show you how to make hanging photo frames out of CD cases.Picture Frame Supplies
Here's what we'll need:- 2 slim CD cases
- ribbon
- tape
- scissors
- tacks
- photographs
Attach the Picture Frame Bases
Begin by cutting your ribbon into 4 pieces, each about 5 inches long. Attach the CD cases with two pieces of ribbon using masking tape to hold them in place. Tape the other two ribbons to the top of the case so that they hang like this.Insert Photos in the Frames
Now simply insert your photos into the CD covers. I got my photos developed into 5X5 dimensions so that the fit would be just right. If you don't have that option you can always alter your photos to fit using either scissors or by gluing them onto a larger piece of paper. And just like that my frames are ready to hit the wall.Hang the Picture Frames
I'm going to use 2 tacks to hang them. I like the sleek and home made look of these. If you're in the mood to be funkier you could decorate the frames. Here, for example, I glued the ribbon around the edges and created a charming border.Sweet, simple, quick and now you're ready to make your own. Thank you for joining me.
