Transcript:How to Modify Text Size in Internet Explorer

Hi, I'm Don Schechter for About.com Computing. Today I'll show you how to modify the size of your text in the Internet Explorer browser.

Why Modify Browser Text?

Sometimes text on the screen seems too small or too large for that matter. Depending on your tastes you can change the size of the text so you can read easier.

Change the Text Size

When you've got Internet Explorer open, go up to the page drop down menu on the top right. Go down to text size and then in the submenu you will see some choices. By default the size is set to medium. To make the text larger, click larger or largest if you want it to be really big. If you want the text to be smaller, click smaller or smallest so you can fit more in a window.

Adjust the Text Size

However, if you choose smallest you might have a really hard time making out the words. You don't want to be squinting at your screen at all. The size of your text should be comfortable at a comfortable distance. The changes that you make will update right away, so make as many adjustments as you want so you can see your screen without squinting.
