Hi, I am Stephanie Gregoire. I am the owner of Salon 6 in Indianapolis and this is my model Sally and today we are going to be showing you how to get Demi Moore's long straight style at home.

Supplies Needed for Demi Moore's Long Straight Hair Style

The things you are going to need in this section are:

• a blow dryer
• flat iron
• hair clips
• a paddle brush

Prep the Hair Before Flatironing to Get Demi Moore's Look

Before you start, you want to make sure that you prep the hair correctly for the style that you are going to do. With Sally's hair, we want to create that really sleek-smooth style, so we have prepped her with a conditioning oil to help smooth and soften and add a lot of shine, and right over the top of that we have done a sculpture styling glaze. What that's going to do is just close down the cuticle and really get rid of that sleek look.

Now that we have got her about 80 percent dry, we are just going to go through and finish the blow dry with the paddle brush just to kind of smooth her ends a little bit before we start the flat ironing.

Flatiron the Hair to Get Demi Moore's Long Straight Hair Style

Now that we have got her 100 percent dry we are going to mist her whole entire head with the heat protector. We are just going to brush that through. We are going to take our comb and decide where we want her part to be. I am just going to go with her natural part. I am going to use here clips and clip her often to two sections.

Once we get her clipped off we are going to start pulling the sections down about 2 inches at a time. We are going to start with the flat iron close to the skull and we are just going to pull that straight down.

Also you want to pick up a piece from your previous section when you are pulling up your second section and this helps to keep from getting parts down the hair. We are just going to continue this all the way up at the back of the head.

Tips for Flatironing for Demi Moore's Long Straight Hair Style

While you are doing the section, two things you want to remember is always keep the flat iron moving as you are working with the hair. You never want to clamp down on one area and hold it there, because you don't want to burn the hair.

Another really good tip is if you wanting to maintain a little volume but still want to have that smooth hair on the ends, when you are flatironing start your flatironing mid-shaft and start off right next to the stop. And what that's going to do is help you maintain any volume you have achieved with your blow dryer next to the scalp, but still getting the ends very smooth.

Now that we have got her completely flatironed I am just going to take some polishing gels. I am going to use the Eufora's beautifying serum and this is just going to help lay down any flyaways.
