Transcript:Style Inspiration: Charlize Theron's Soft Curls
Hi! I am Stephanie Gregoire, the owner of Salon 6 in Indianapolis and this is my model Rachelle and today we are going to be showing how to get soft waves like Charlize Therone.
Tools Needed for Charlie Theron's Soft Curls:
- A 1.5 inch curling iron
- Blow dryer
- Hair clips
- Flat or round brush
- Rat tail comb
Prep Hair for Curling
As you can see she has a lot of natural crazy texture so the first that we are going to do is add some beatifying serum, which is the leave in oil treatment that's just going to help soften and smooth the hair before we start to curl.
Curl Hair in Sections
You wanted to be mindful of where your parts are going to be. I am just going to work with her natural part. So I am just going to kind of push that in. We are going to follow that part all the way down to the back section of the hair and we are going to clip this often to two sections.
We are going to start by pulling down 2 inch sections and we are going to curl everything towards the center part. Down at the bottom where the hairs are a little bit shorter you are not going to get much of a curl but that's okay because you are really kind of want to smooth that underneath down so that you don't get too much fullness.
Now that we have got all the way up to the back we are going to start on our side sections. We are just going to pull these sections down, 2 inches sections at a time and we are going to curl everything away from the face.
One other tips when you are doing these curls is if you want a little less polished look just leave the ends out slightly of your curling iron when you curl it and it will keep it from being so tight of the curl.
Soften Curls to Finish
Once you get all of your curls done you can leave it like this or another tip that you can do is just adding a little bit of a shine gloss to your hands and running your fingers through the curls just to soften them slightly.This concludes my demonstration on Charlize Therone's soft wave style.
