Hi I'm Leilani Boyer for About.com. Today we're going to be doing a smoky eye here on Autumn.

Create a Quick Base to Do a Smoky Eye in Two Minutes

Right now I've already applied her foundation along her T-zone area. I've also applied her concealer. So the first step were going to do is take the lightest color of your color frame and you're going to go ahead and apply it all over your lid.

The second step you're going to do is take your second color, which is a little bit darker than the first, and you're going to apply it to the middle of her lid, like so. Then you're going to sweep it out to the corners of her eye all the way to the front and sides of her eye.

The third step: you want to take the darker color from the second step and you want to do the same thing you did with the second step, and sweeping the darker color closest to the lid of her eye.

Use Dark Colors to Accentuate the Base for a Smoky Eye in Two Minutes

The fourth step is you want to take a even darker color and you want to line the eye right at the hair line. The fifth step: you want to take that same dark color that you already applied at the lower base of her lid. You want to open your eyes and look upwards and sweep the darker color underneath the eye. And try to get it really close to the lash line.

The sixth step you want to do is apply your mascara. And you want to take your mascara wand as close to the root of your lashes and brush it upwards.
