Hi, I am Aubrey for About.com, and today I am going to teach you how to add bangs to a long hairstyle.

There are a few ways you can wear bangs with a long hairstyle. You have a side bang, the middle bang, and a fringe bang. First, create your long hairstyle. Here she is loosely pulling the sides of her hair up and back. Play around until you get the hairstyle you want to add bangs to.

Wear Side Bangs With a Long Hairstyle

To create a side bang, pull your bangs over diagonally to one side. To make them blend better, pull out a few pieces of hair to shape your face on each side. Sweep your bangs behind your ear, and blend the bangs into the rest of your hair.

Middle Bangs With a Long Hairstyle Are A Fun Look

Next is a middle bang. Comb your bangs to the front and play with them until you get the correct shape for your particular face.

You have to be careful when working with full bangs as they can often make your face look really round. To avoid this, spread your bangs out and comb the ends to shape your forehead.

Fringe Bangs With a Long Hairstyle Are Edgy and Chic

The last bang is a fringe. This is where you pull your bangs from one side of your head all the way to the other side. These bangs should sweep across your forehead. Pull out a few pieces of hair to shape your face and sweep the bangs into the rest of your hair.

You could also pull a small piece of your bangs onto the other side of your head then pin it down with a bobby pin. This adds more shape to your face, if needed. You are finished.
