Hello! My name is Tye Coe for About.com. I am a celebrity hair, makeup and fashion stylist and today we are at the fabulous BeSu Salon and Day Spa here in New York City and I am going to show you how to style a long, blunt bob.

Style Hair with a Round Brush

In styling a long, blunt bob you want to start in the back with about a one inch section. In getting the fullness out of a blunt bob it's a great idea to do the style with a round brush and a blow dryer. With your sections on the round brush you want to just continue and do a slight bend with your round brush and blow dryer. It's great to have a ceramic brush, it will help in holding the heat and will polish out the hair shaft a lot better and will create a sleeker finish.

So we're going to continue that throughout the hair shaft in the one inch sections, just taking the sections and round brushing under.

Finger Style Hair with Finishing Product

So we've gone through and we've round brushed all of Erica's hair. Now we're going to go back and add a little bit of the Moroccan Oil just to give a little extra shine. And then we're going to do fingerstyling to finish off and complete the look. We're going to style it forward.

She's got a really great blunt bob - it's not completely straight edge, it's got a little softer edges to it in some areas, but you can see that the front is very blunt and we piece it out to soften. You can finish it off with a light bit of hairspray.
