Transcript:How to Make Blonde Hair Brighter Without Dye

Hello! My name is Kimberly Steffen and I am a stylist here at Norris of Houston. Today we're going to talk about ways to keep your blonde hair lighter and brighter without using colors to enhance the blonde.

Use Clarifying and Purple Tinted Shampoos for Brighter Hair

One way you can keep your blonde hair brighter is you can use the shampoo such as this one and it's blue in color or purple violet, which cancels out yellow in the hair. You would want to use this about every second to third shampoo; that way it helps cancel out any yellow or dulling effects in the hair, which is going to naturally make your blonde hair appear brighter.

Another way to keep your blonde hair looking brighter and not dull and flat would be to use a purifying shampoo, you would want to use this after getting out of pool, the ocean, anything that might build up on your hair or coat the hair and make it dull, such as styling gels, hairsprays it's really good to use this type of a shampoo at least once a week.

Add Shine With Light Sprays to Brighten Hair

Now if your hair becomes dull and you want to add some shimmer and shine to it, you've been outside all day or you've been working outside and your hair looks dehydrated, after you rinse your hair, shampoo it and then maybe some of this will help your hair look really luminous and shiny, this is going to give it that pretty glow that basically reflects and makes the hair look much shinier or healthier.

Those are just a few of the ways to help blonde hair look brighter and lighter at home.
