Use Color-Safe Products to Keep Hair Color Bright After Dyeing

First, you are going to start with a color safe shampoo and conditioner; something that's specifically formulated for color treated hair. Secondly, I would suggest a once a week deep conditioner, something that's really going to seal in the hair, seal in the moisture. And thirdly, I would suggest that you use some type of color preservative styling product that's going to protect your hair from heat and overstyling.

Don't Shampoo Daily to Keep Hair Color Bright After Dyeing

So I highly recommend that you don't shampoo your hair everyday. No matter what shampoo you use, a little bit of the color is going to come out every time that you wash it. So I really don't suggest that you use anything that has heavy alcohol in it, because that is going to dry the hair out; even citric acid can be kind of bad for the hair. You really want to make sure that you use something that's going to protect your hair from heat and the elements.
