For growing out a bob the best advice i can give is to go in for monthly trims so the shape will grow out nicely. Usually trimming the nape of hte neck with a blunt edge until the sides of the hair eventually catch up is the best way to go. Since your hair grows faster typically in the back of your head.

Additional Tips for Growing Out a Bob

Monthly trimming is a must in order for your bob to look good while it's growing out. To start trimming start at the nape of the neck, take off the desired length or about one quarter of an inch. Once the sides are caught up with the hair, the hair will be even in length giving it a nice blunt edge. Once you achieved this length, it's easy to transform your hair into a new hair style.
