Transcript:How to Do Braided Hair Styles for Prom
Hi, I am Aubrey for About.com and today I am going to teach you three ways to use braids in prom hairstyles that involve braids.
Use a Loose Pony Tail for a Braided Hair Style for Prom
Part your bangs to the left or right side, then section off the front of your hair. Start creating a french braid. Make three sections, cross them over and add more hair to your end pieces. Then cross them over again. Repeat this until you reach the end of your eyebrow. Then make a regular braid the rest of the way down. Tie it off with a little rubber band.
Next, you want to gather the rest of your hair (braid included) to one side and make a loose pony tail. Take the braid and go around your clip until it is all covered then pin it down with a bobby pin. Curl your tips and you are done.
Cross Braids Over for a Braided Hair Style for Prom
For the next style keep the first french braid in, and add another french braid to the other side of your hair, the same process as before. Braid it all the way down. Separate the braids and take the rest of your hair and comb it back into a pony tail. Then secure it with a rubber band.
Bring the braids back and cross them over the top of your pony tail so it hides your rubber band. Keep crossing them over until you run out of length, then secure them both with a bobby pin. Curl you tips and you're done.
Loosely Tuck Braids for a Braided Hair Style for Prom
For the last style what we are going to do is a little different. Hold the center piece hair of the braid and take the other two pieces and push them all the way up.
Then loosely tug them back down, and secure it to the back of the head with bobby pins. Repeat the same on the other side. Curl your tips, and you are done.
