Transcript: Apple Night Cream for Sensitive Skin
Hi, I'm Natasha Levitan for About.com. A good night cream can restore your skin's elasticity and make it soft and smooth. It can renew your skin as well as keep it moisturized. Unfortunately, night creams are also very expensive. You can expect to spend anywhere from $20 to $200 dollars for a small jar. However, you can make your own easily; a nice cream can be as far as a walk to your pantry. So, today I'm going to show you how to make apple night cream for sensitive skin.Apple Night Cream Ingredients
For this, you will need:- 1 apple
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1 cup rose water
Prepare the Apples
Split the apples in half and remove the stem. Cut out the core of the apple then chop it into small piecesBlend the Night Cream Ingredients
Put your chopped apples in a blender and 2 cups of olive oil and turn the blender on low until the apples and olive oil have properly mixed together.Double-Boil the Night Cream Ingredients
Set a medium bowl on top of medium saucer quarter filled with water. Heat until the mixture is warm and stir. Please don't cook your apple. The raw apple in this cream contains malic acid which helps promote smoother and firmer skin. Once your mixture is warm, take it off the heat and cool it. Add rosewater and stir again until the rosewater and olive oil-apple mixture is combined.Using and Storing Homemade Night Cream
Now your cream is ready. You can put it on before you go to sleep or keep the extra night cream in a plastic jar in the refrigerator.Enjoy, and thanks for watching. To learn more visit us on the Web at style.about.com.
