There are many opinions about whether or not mascara primer is needed. I've found that the general consensus and my personal opinion is that in most cases you don't need mascara primer. However, there are a few exceptions to why mascara primer is a positive thing.If you're going out to a party and you need your mascara to last for hours, put on the primer then the mascara. Your eyelashes will be thick and strong for hours.
Tips For Applying Mascara Primer
Be very careful when you're applying your primer because often times, if you're not careful your mascara and eyelashes can appear thick and clumpy. If you have smaller eyelashes primer will help to thicken and lengthen your lashes. If you need your eyelashes to be extra expressive and pop out while doing a photo shoot, Halloween costume, theatre then mascara primer will work great for you.To sum it all up: for your everyday makeup use, it is not necessary to use mascara primer. It takes longer to put on and it's harder to take off. If you don't need it for the reasons I mentioned earlier, just use your regular mascara.
