Hi, my name is Tricia Mann with About.com and this is 5 quick eyeliner styles. I demonstrate these essential techniques on my model, Jenna so you can see the finished results. Let’s get started.

Always Use a Clean and Sharp Eyeliner Pencil

When using an eye pencil, be sure that it is sharpened for easy and clean application. If you have small eyes or just really want to make them pop, line the inner rim or waterline with a white pencil. Finish off your smokey eyeliner look by lining the inner rim of your eye with a black kohl pencil to create a finished look. What this will do is camouflage any gaps between your lashes creating a dark smoldering look around the eye area.

For Funky Style, Try Color and Liquid Eyeliners

If you want a have a little bit of fun with your eyeliner try using a color such as a blue, teal, or gold on the inner rim of the eye, just lining the waterline. For the perfect liquid eyeliner style, use a brush like this. What this will do is give a perfect application every time.
