Transcript:How to Place Another Row of Netting on the Beaded Snowflake
Hi, my name is Ana Pizarro from Caravan Beads of Chicago, here today for About.com. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to add the second row of netting to your beaded snowflake.
Materials for Next Row of Netting
At this point, you should already have your loop and your picots, and one first row of netting in order to make your next row of netting. Although you can use different sizes of beads, today we're going to try it with a size 6 mm Swarovski crystal, size 8 seed beads, FireLine thread - you don't need to wax it, so it's a really good idea - we're also going to use a size 12 beading needle. And finally we're going to use some scissors.
Stringing the New Nets on the Beaded Snowflake
For the second row of netting, I will be stringing two color "A" beads, one color "B" crystal, and two color "A" beads. I'm stringing them, and go through the next crystal, which is the center of your next net. I'm stringing, again, two color "A", "B" crystal, and "A"s. I'm going to repeat this process four more times until we have six new nets. In order to do the last one, make sure you go through the very first crystal of your last net, which is the one from the previous row. We just finished adding out second row of netting.
