Transcript:How to Do Horizontal Beaded Netting

Hi, I'm Melissa Shippee, owner of MGS Designs. I'm here today with About.com to show you how to do horizontal beaded netting.

Tools for Horizontal Beaded Netting

To do this, you'll need seed beads, a beading needle and beading thread.

Six Repeats: One 11/0 And two 15/0 Beads

First, pick up six repeats of one size 11/0 seed bead and two size 15/0 seed beads.

Stitch Through Fourth to Last 11/0 Bead

Push your beads down towards the end of the thread, leaving enough of a tail to secure in your bead work later. Stitch back through the fourth to last 11/0.

Continue with the Alternating Pattern

Pick up two 15/0s, one 11/0, and two 15/0s. Stitch through the first bead you picked up. Pick up two 15/0s, one 11/0, two 15/0s, one 11/0, and two 15/0s. Stitch back through the last bead added in the previous row.

Stitch through the next 11/0 sticking up from the previous row. Pick up two 15/0s, one 11/0, two 15/0s, one 11/0, and two 15/0s. Stitch back through the last 11/0 added in the previous row. Continue adding rows until your horizontal netting is as long as desired.

And that's how you do horizontal beaded netting. Thank you for watching. To learn more, please visit About.com.
