Transcript:How to Make an Easy Brisket Marinade

Hi, I'm Mike Jordan and I'm here for About.com. Today, we are going to make an easy brisket marinade using a recipe from About.com's Southern food site.

Brisket Marinade Ingredients

You will need:

  • 1 cup of dry red wine
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 celery stalk, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

Making the Easy Brisket Marinade

In a medium-size bowl, combine the red wine, soy sauce, onion, celery, and garlic. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients together. Place a four to five pound brisket in a deep pan. Pour the mixture over the brisket. Cover, and marinate in refrigerator overnight. This will help tenderize the meat and give a delicious flavor to a barbecue brisket.
