When buying toys for your 6 month old, safety is key. You want to keep in mind what materials they're made of and how easily they can be clean since babies this age, put everything in their months whether you hand them one of their toys that are appropriate or you've got a book that you're reading, they're going to try to put it in their mouths, because the biting and the chewing makes their mouth feel better.Other Tips for Knowing if a Toy is Appropriate for a 6 Month Old
They do have a lot of toys on the market that are for teething specifically. This toy has some different textures on it which feels nice on their mouth and these are easily cleaned with an antibacterial wipe for quick clean ups and then, once you're home you may even want to put a better bleach with hot water and then, you have to rinse very, very thoroughly and make sure that it's dry and then it's safe for baby again.More Information for Knowing if a Toy is Appropriate for a 6 Month Old
At 6 months old the average baby is also learning to sit assisted and that's fun for them, because they can sit up and see more of what's going on in the world as we see it, rather than lying down and just looking up at mobiles and things like that. You've always got to think about safety first. So when you are giving your kids toys, you are going to want to keep in mind what materials they are made of, how easily they are going to be cleaned and also, obviously that they are nontoxic, you are not going to hand your child a toy with peeling paint or a jagged edge. These are great for 6 month olds. It's soft, it's got a handle, so that they can begin holding and touching it and of course you as mom and dad will hold it up for them and begin reading, but this is great, because it's showing different colors and shapes.
This one even has some parts that come up and as they grow a little older they can attach them on there, but you can never have too many books. Well, this one even makes noises. That's great!
I am Gretchen Nelson and those are some age appropriate toys for 6 month olds. Thanks for watching.
